Fidelity Customer Protection Guarantee
How the Guarantee Works
When you take the required steps to help us protect your Plan benefits account, the program will reimburse your Plan benefits for any amount taken due to unauthorized activity and through no fault of your own. This coverage is provided at no cost to you. The Guarantee only covers reimbursement of Plan benefits and does not cover benefits under any non-qualified retirement or other plan sponsored by S&P Global. Cash and securities in Fidelity accounts managed by independent investment advisors are covered, but as described below, transactions and other activities made by your investment advisor for you (or any transactions or activities initiated by someone with whom you have given access to your account information and/or account credentials) are considered authorized by you and are not covered by the Guarantee.
Your Plan benefits will be reimbursed for the unauthorized payment if both of the following requirements are met:
- An investigation determines that you did not authorize the payment.
- You meet the eligibility requirements described in What You Need to Do.
