If You Formerly Participated in Another Plan
Participants Formerly Employed by IHS Markit, Inc. or one of its Subsidiaries (“IHS Markit”)
If you are a former employee of IHS Markit, Inc. or one of its subsidiaries (automotiveMastermind, Inc., CARFAX, Inc. IHS Markit, Ltd., Markit North America, Inc. and MarkitSERV, LLC (a “Former IHS Employee”):
You are 100% vested in any account balances transferred from the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan to the Plan.
Any beneficiary designation you made under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan will carry over to the Plan. However, you are strongly encouraged to check your beneficiary designation under the Plan to make sure it accurately reflects your current choice of beneficiaries. Any beneficiary designation made under the Plan will replace a beneficiary designation made under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan.
Outstanding loans under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan will carry over to the Plan after the merger of the IHS 401(k) Plan into the Plan. If you have an outstanding loan under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan, your will continue to repay your loans in the Plan in the same manner as you have in the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan. The merger of the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan into the Plan will not affect the terms or length of your loans as set forth under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan.
If you have one of the separate accounts listed below, you can take a withdrawal at any time from them at any, regardless of whether you have attained age 59½ or experienced a hardship:
- A separate account for employer matching contributions for periods prior to 2007 under the IHS Markit 401(k) Plan;
- A separate account for employer non-elective contributions received beginning on or after January 1, 2012, and before January 1, 2017, and your separate account for employer non-elective contributions as of August 22, 2017;
- A separate Employer Discretionary Contributions account transferred from the Compliance Technologies International LLC Incentive Savings Trust; and
- Up to the balance that was in your employee contributions accounts as of May 1, 2006, if you were employed by the former CERA Employing Unit.
